What do you like about the text?
What do you find challenging about the text?
What does it reveal about God?

Specific Questions:
1. During the passage we see Jesus washing the disciples feet - Andrew asked the question if you had all things (ie Power, authority, responsibility, ability to empower and Influence) in your hand what would you do with it?
2. Who has been an influential person in your own life? Why? What did they do that was significant? How did they do that?
3. What makes a good leader? When have you seen/ experienced good leadership? Where did you experience that - in life, at work, at church?
4. Think about leaders we see in everyday life - where do you see people leading with selfish ambition? What are some of their distinguishing traits? What are the things we need to avoid?
5. Jesus laid aside his position and all of the expectations of people in order to wash the disciples feet. What does effect does fulfilling the expectations of others have on your ability to lead?
6. If leadership is about coming underneath and serving, the question that has to be asked is who could you serve this week? In what ways could you serve someone else?
7. Andrew mentioned that you could be the key that unlocks the potential in someone else. How can you use what's in your hands to unlock the potential in someone else? Who could you do this for?
8. Jesus demonstrated that nothing is beneath him as he took on the role of a servant and washed the disciples feet. Is there anything that's beneath you? When have you thought Im not going to/ I'll never do that?
