Bereavement

Bereavement, when someone important to us dies, is one of the hardest times of life. Grief is our response to this loss. It is the normal, natural and inevitable response to loss, and it can affect every part of life, including our thoughts, behaviours, beliefs, feelings, physical health and our relationships with others.
At New Community we want to walk besides you in your grief. Here are some ways that you can find support...
Alongsiders
If you would like to talk with someone who has been bereaved and may be able to offer understanding, wisdom and comfort from their own story please contact Ali Box ali@ncr.org.au
The Bereavement Journey
The Bereavement Journey is a course that gently guides adults bereaved at any time, through the varied ways grief and bereavement can impact, enablilng them to process the implications for themselves and discern the next steps. More details in Events/Wellbeing
Lament
We run termly Lament Sessions for women, sometimes with a theme, sometimes more general. When we lament we bring our hearts cries to God and find Him in our pain.
Remembrance Gathering
