What is it?

At New Community we have established a financial partnership fund to cultivate and enable a culture which practises acts of mercy and justice. Our prayer is for you to become an active participant in God’s kingdom activity as you respond to needs around you. We hope that through the releasing of funds and the contribution of your time and passion, God will extend his love, mercy and justice through you.

How does it work?

To utilise the financial partnership fund the Pastoral team anticipates that you will have been prompted by God in a personal way. We will want to know what the action/activity is and how you have come to believe that God would have you become involved. A group of four people nominated by the Pastoral team will be responsible for overseeing distributions from this fund, in keeping with the themes of relationship, generosity, faith and prudence.

Criteria to meet.

1.The activity or project meaningfully demonstrates God’s kingdom agenda.
2.The activity or project extends beyond the usual ministries of New Community Ringwood.
3.There is a relational connection or potential for a relational connection to develop with the person or project.
4.The activity genuinely serves others or contributes to the building of a kingdom culture at New Community.
5.The activity is not for missional endeavours that you would otherwise support personally eg. Child Sponsorship
6.An agreed level of accountability/reporting will be provided by the applicant for New Community. (This enables New Community to support and celebrate with others as they respond to needs they see around them.)
7.The applicant has demonstrated a commitment to Jesus expressed through the life of New Community.
8.It is anticipated that the source of this funding be communicated to the recipients. i.e. “on behalf of the Christian community”.
