The notion that it is the wife’s duty to have sex, to not deprive her husband, has been taught and believed far beyond purity culture. The woman can believe this message even if the husband doesn’t but regardless of how she’s learnt it, the obligation sex messages ruin sex and marriages too, so it’s worth listening in.
